All access to INTERDUBS is being recorded and stored in the system for easy access.

Admin Logs

INTERDUBS offers multiple views on the client access to your segment:

complete log

On the

 utilities 

screen the button

 visitor log 

will show the entire log for your segment. You see client access to all logins and reels.


Navigation

Access is been show last to first.


Via the

 older 

link you can access pages with previous access.


newer

will bring up a more recent page respectively.


Login log

Via

 edit login and then 
 visitor log

you see access only for that specific login or reel.


File log

Via

 edit files and then 
 log 

you see the client access for that file only.

Logins of files that did not have any client access will show a closed book as the visitor log icon.


Non-admin access for log files

Each login / reel also offers non admin access to this information via a secure link. See Client viewable log for details.

Log format

Each client action results in one entry in the log entry. The columns of the log entries are:

Date and Time

The access date and time. In the time zone that is configured for that login or your segment. The format is


MONTH/DAY HOUR:MINUTE

HOURS are expressed in 24 hour format.

Login / Reel

The login or reel that the client used to access the data

File/folder

If the log entry is about a folder then the

 goto folder

icon will be displayed and click on it will open it.

Should it be about a file then the

  edit file

icon will be display and clicking on it will bring you to the edit file screen.

deleted items

Should the item in question have been deleted, then the word

removed

will be displayed instead of the folder / file name.

action

The action indicates what happened:

login page

A visitor loaded the public accessible page that collects login name and password. Often robots find this page. This is normal. Should those entries clutter your pages then please get in touch, we can add a feature to filter them if that is a requirement of our users.

no login

A visitor has entered an invalid login name or password. Other reasons for this log entry can be: A login has expired or it does not point to a valid folder

view folder

A folder gets displayed in the client interface while a Look#Work_in_Progress_look is active. Usually not having any look applied to to a login will also result in this behavior.

The client can see all visible entries of that folder and has other functions available depending on design and configuration

view clip

A clip gets views in its own screen in the. If enabled then comments can be added.

This is only possible in Work in Progress screens. Reel views of clips are shown via Reel_Engagement.

Please note that play in page will not be logged right now. See gotcha for a complete list of things that are wrong right now.

view image

A still image gets displayed on its own page.

add comment

A client leaves a comment for a clip. Comments are been accessed and edited via the

 edit login 

screen.

delete comment

A client removes a comment that he / she previously has left.

download all

A client downloads all files in a given folder.

download one

A client downloads a single file.

client upload

A client uploads a file. See Client_side_uploads for details.

forward link

A client forwards a reel to somebody else.

open email

A client opens an email that she has received from INTERDUBS. Logging opening of emails works only for Html_email.

list zip

A client lists the contents of a Zip file.

view reel

A client watches a reel. Seel Reel_Engagement for details.

view fullscreen

A client watches a reel in INTERUBS' full screen mode


mtr

Via the

 mtr 

screen the trace of how the network packages traveled to the INTERDUBS data center can be established. Generating this data can take up to 30 seconds in some cases.

who

Under the who column information about the visitor is being displayed based on the IP address of the visitor.

Country

The first icon indicates the country or US state that the IP resides in.

Operating System

INTERDUBS recognizes the following operating systems / devices:

 iPhone

 iPad

 Apple Desktop or laptop

 Windows

 Linux

 a search engine robot
Browser

INTERDUBS recognizes the following browsers:

 mobile safari

 safari

 Firefox

 Chrome

 Internet Explorer
Domain name / IP address

INTERDUBS will reverse lookup the name of the IP that was used for the access. This information is about 95% accurate.

The complete information about the visitor can be looked up by hovering over any of the items of the who field.

Cookie / Email track

INTERDUBS assigns a random colored dot to each visitor cookie. See Main_Page/Cookielog for details.


If the visitor comes to INTERDUBS via an email that got sent out via the system and Email_tracking tracking has been enabled, then the email address of the visitor will get displayed in the end of the log entry.
