Client Pages

Client pages, logins or reels can have a password. In the

 add login

screen a password can be assigned.

Reels created in quickReel will have an automatic random password assigned.

You can change the password of a login or reel via the

 edit login

screen.

Client page password requirements

You can decide for each login -or via a look or segment configuration- if and how a password should be required before access.

The setting is called

client needs to enter name/password

and its possible values are are explain on client passwords in more detail.

Unique combination of login and password

INTERDUBS will reject the creation of a new login if one with the same password already exists. Accessing client pages via the login page would not yield meaningful results otherwise.

Password quality evaluation

INTERDUBS will evaluate the quality of the password that you are entering in the add login form while you type it.

Password quality required

By setting the INTERDUBS configuration

client login password requirement

to

secured by cracklib

you instruct the system to only create a new login if the password is vetted by the unix 'cracklib' library.

If you choose

none

as the requirement then you can use any password that you like.

Default password

Via the segment configuration it is possible to set a default password. There are a couple special values that can be used here. See default password for details.

Case sensitivity

You can enable case sensitive user names and password via the

client login and password case sensitive

configuration parameter.

login embargo

The password field can also define a time before that the login is not valid. See login embargo for details.
