In a file listing you will see the edit file icon in front of every file. When you click on this you can change many parameters and will find file specific information.

main button row

the main row allows you to access the most frequently used applications for a file.

back

will bring you back to the folder that the file exists in

email

Allows you to send an email pointing directly to the file. The email dialog will show you a checkbox that you could disable to send an email for the entire login. Please note that there will be one link for each login that has access to the file.

edit

You can edit the title, isci, length that will be displayed and resolution for the file. If you change the resolution of a quicktime then it will be displayed in a window that is sized according to the values you entered here.

note

With note you can edit a note to the file that will be displayed at the client side. Should you have added a note then it will be displayed and the icon changes to

log

You can view the specific log for this file by clicking on the icon.

comment edit

Should there be comments for this file, then you will find edit client comments. You can delete client comments here.

second icon row

The second row contains functions that are not as frequently accessed.

client view

With client view you can preview how the file would look in the client view. This item exists for each login that has access to this file.

edit file name

You can alter the actual file name that INTERDUBS uses via the edit file name function. See Titles for details of this.

login

The link will let you go directly to the edit login screen.

hide

lets you hide a file from view. Should the file already be hidden so will than the icon will change to to allow you to reveal the file again.

move

moves the file into a new folder.

copy

copies the file into a new folder.

delete

moves the file into the trash

upload icon

With upload icon can you upload a different icon file for the file. This is particularly interesting if the file is not one of the file types that an image can be created from. Having a meaningful icon frame is somethig that clients usually appreciate.

delete icon

delete icon let's you remove an icon from a file.

tag

tags let's you add information to the file. This helps in finding it again for presentations for instance. But the tag concept is very flexible and could be used for many uses.


create image from movie

If the file is one of the clip formats that Interdubs understands, then you will also see create new image from movie. The interface is similar to the one for movie icon creation: You pick a time or enter it. An image file will be created in the folder that you are in. The name will be initially the one of the clip with the time appended.
