Preperation

Collection of content

Preparing a portfolio of the work that you would like to present is the first step. A first round with your highlights should give you an idea how long it takes to do this. See Uploads for enhanced ways to do this. It is recommended to then continue to do a second round to get most of the work into Interdubs. People have the tendency to think that some work would never be helpful. Which is not entirely true. And, once uploading is efficient from your side, there is no problem with storing allot of material in Interdubs. It can handle it, and -yes- there is a flat rate.

Structuring your work

Already when uploading your clips it might be helpful to name them meaningful. Picking the right icon might take a second or two, but will be worthwhile. You can also create still frames that are standalone icons from your clips. Finally you can add Tags to your clips to make them easier to find.

Defining the look

You can, and maybe should, design the sales pages so that your work gets presented in the best possible way. Interdubs allows you to create as many look setups as you like. Making at least one kick as sales look that you can refine is probably a good idea.

Creating a sales page

Making a page is as easy as your preperation was thorough. Only when creating the page is easy and can be done quickly will you do it in time and with success.

Create a login

Make a new login. Some people have a different naming scheme for sales logins that differentiates them from work in progress logins.

You can and probably should set up a look for your logins that are being used as a sales tool. Have a look at the reel documentation for details.

Add the content

Search for files you like to add. Use the File Management tools to copy the files into the current sales folder.

Add additional information

You can add Notes to the folder itself, or to each file. Depending on your pitch this can be very helpful. Some people added comments from the client side to point out specific shots in their work. Do as little or much as you like.

Structure the order of the elements

Move the clips you would like to present into the right position.

Send the email

Send the email with your presentation link. The look you defined could already contain an email configuration that works best for emails. Most people only send the information for the direct link to keep the sales supporting email free of clutter.

Check the access

Finally you can use the logs functionality, to see who accessed your presentation, and what clips they looked at.
