operations via check boxes

In front of files in a folder listing or a search result you find a little checkbox. If you enable one of them, then a new set of icons will appear above the listing. These are for the functions that you can apply to selected files. Instead of doing something again and again you can simply check / uncheck a selection of files and then choose what you like to do to all of them. The check box in the top row allows you to check or uncheck all files at once. Gotcha When the page is still loading and you click the select all checkbox, then only the files that are loaded at that point will be checked.

Folders do not have checkboxes since different operations apply to them. These operations are also available in the Search results.
