File additions

INTERDUBS allows the addition of files in a multitude of ways.

Uploads

Adding files via Uploads is also been discussed on the Uploads page. These methods are only briefly listed here again.

Web based uploads

INTERDUBS allows the upload of files via a web browser.

Web Admin uploads

As an admin user you can upload files into any folder in your segment. Three methods exist, that you can switch between.

Drag and drop

With a drag and drop upload you can simply drag files into the web browser window, and an upload will appear.

Classic Drag and drop

A previous version of a Drag and Drop uploader.

Classic Uploader

The classic web uploader requires you to select the file(s) you like to upload.

Client uploads

Via a configuration uploads can be enabled in the client pages. An email can sent when clients added content this way. See Client side uploads for details.

Non web based uploads

All non web based file additions can send an email notification after the operation is complete via the configuration

Gateway FTP

INTERDUBS can accept content via traditional FTP. See [[Ftp] for details.

Droplet

A droplet is an OS X application that will upload all files and folders that get dropped onto it. See Droplet for details.

API

The INTERDUBS Api allows programs to communicate with the system. Among the possibilities of the API is an upload feature. See Api for details.

Segment to segment copy

Any customer can export content and data to another INTERDUBS customer directly. This avoids down and uploads. See Transfer between segments for details.

Data center to Data center copy

INTERDUBS runs several data centers around the globe. Data can be copied directly between data centers. See Transfer between datacenters for details.

File creation within INTERDUBS

There a are a couple of ways how INTERDUBS can generate files inside of the system:

Transcode

INTERDUBS can convert existing clips into different formats. Please see Transcode for details.

Splice

INTERDUBS can combine multiple clips into a single one. See Splice for details.

Zip Expand

The contents of a zip file in the system can be expanded on the server. Please see Zip#expansion for details.

Web page expand

A web page including all its elements can be uploaded in a zip file. INTERDUBS allows the expansion / creation of this page. Please see Web_page_content for details.

Out of Trash

A file that gets deleted will go into the Trash. From there it can be recovered is needed.

Generate image out of clip

A new image file can be created from any frame of a clip.

Go to

 edit file

and then select:

 create new image from movie.

After you select location of the image file click on

CREATE image

the new image will appear in the system.
