Browser Support

As of April 2011 you can use drag and drop upload in the following browsers:

Firefox Version 3.6 or later
Safari Version 5.0
Google Chrome (tested with Version 10)

It is unlikely to work with Internet Explorer

Access

You can find the drag and drop upload 1 click away on the normal upload screen. Click on Switch to Drag and Drop upload

Features

Currently Drag and Drop upload just uploads clips. The extra features available for the classic upload via a selection (mail notification, upload chime, taging etc) will probably be available a later date.

Operation

Simply drag files into the area below the black status bar. A red dashed outline should appear around the area when you can drop files there. Should you simply see the file you dragged in the browser then your browser is not ready for drag and drop uploads. Please let us know what browser you are trying to use, and we look into it.

Once uploaded a thumbnail of the clip, already generated by INTERDUBS will appear. You can click on it to pick a different thumbnail for instance. This will not interrupt the current upload.

Canceling uploads

Clicking the black status bar will cancel the upload.

Beta

This part of INTERDUBS is in beta right now. Please send us your feedback about things that did not work, or could be working better for you.
