Dailies Distribution

This page describes how INTERDUBS features can be used to distribute dailies.

Folders for each day

INTERDUBS stores files in folders. It is common to have a folder for each shoot day.

You can have the system create these folders for you. On the

 create folder

screen there are two settings in the bottom of the screen:

first folder number
last folder number

If you want to create folders called "Day 1" up to "Day 14" then you would enter

Day

followed by a space in the name and enter

1 and
14

in the corresponding fields below. In order to be able to sort folders by the creation date the system will pause for one second for each folder.

You can hide folders for shoot days that have not happened if you like.

Access via a shared login

You can grant access to your dailies via a shared login. Simply use the

 add login

function to the folder that contains all your dailies. You can send this login to many people. If you do so via INTERDUBS then you are able to see who accessed your dailies in the log screens. INTERDUBS will track which email address was used.

email group

INTERDUBS will remember whom you sent a login before. It is easy to use the same recipients repeatedly.

You can also combine existing email addresses via the email group feature. The advantage is that you have more defined controlled about who receives an email and who does not.

Access via one login per client

It is also possible to create a different login for each person accessing the dailies. If you associate each of these logins with an email address then you can send out one email for all logins at once. If you have 3 or more logins pointing to one folder, then the system will offer functionalities to do so.

You can associate email an email address with a login in two different ways;

1) use the email address directly as the login title

2) use any title for the login (for instance the name of the person) and use the internal login note to store the email recipient for the login in question.

Both methods work the same and can be used at the same time.

The advantage of this method is that you add / remove people easily from the distribution. Since all settings are also under control of a login you can assign different permissions and features to each of these persons.

See Email_distribution for more details on how to send invoice notifications.

Creating accounts via spreadsheet

Since many people can be in a dailies distributions list it could be tedious to set each person up manually.

You can create a spreadsheet files with each persons' information and use it to create the needed logins. Please see Add_logins_via_csv for details.
