Sort order
The order in that items appear in a listing can be important to your presentation.
Automatic order
The default is that all items will be listed alphabetical. There are also other automatic ways to order items in a folder:
alphabetical (folders first) <default alphabetical
newer first older first
You can change the default for new folders via configuration value.
folders first
The default sorter will list items alphabetically, but will list all folders on top. This is actually implemented by a kind of a hack. Like all 'hacks' it is nice and elegant and breaks under some circumstances: INTERDUBS files can have a title and a name. The name is the file name, the title is what usually will be displayed. When you have no title then INTERDUBS will fall back to to display the name. A folder however has no filename. So it only has a title. The alphabetical (folders first) sort order uses this fact to bring up folders first. But I also means that a file that does not have title will show up among the the folders. Let's call it a 'feature' ;)
Manual order
You can also control the order of elements by dragging them into the desired order after selecting the change order function in the file listing.
OLD folder
When you have done so then the OLD folder will be added in the end of the listing.
