In INTERDUBS the order of files in a folder is being controlled for client and admin interface independently.
The order of files for the client can be very particular. While you might want to look at content in the admin interface in a different way.
admin order
The admin interface has listing headers that you can click on to influence the display in the admin interface. This has not influence of the client sort order.
client order
The client order gets set in sort screen for a specific folder. There are generic sort options like date or name.
And there is the possibility to express an arbritary order via drag and drop.
pro order
The arbritrary order of clips gets stored in sort values for each file. INTERDUBS will display the file with the smallest sort value first, then the second smallest and so on.
When you enable pro sort in personal preferences then these sort values are being displayed in a green color.
You can change them under the edit file / edit folder screen. You can also give newly uploaded file a sort order index.
An example. The folder /presidents contains the following images, sorted alphabetically:
Adams Jefferson Monroe Washington
Then you sorted them chronologically. Even with pro sort on you still can use the drag and drop feature. The dis

Now you realize that you forgot Madison. So to make him the fourth in your list you simply would upload him and in the upload screen indicate that he should get an upload index higher than 30 and smaller than 40.
