Client Error page

When INTERDUBS can not display a client page then it shows a configurable feedback screen.

Common reasons for INTERDUBS not being able to display a link are:

link has expired
login has been deleted
folder has been deleted

The client error page will display the error, and allows the client to fill out a feedback form.

Since this page is on the public Internet measures need to be taken so that automated robots do not abuse the form and submit countless entries. The usual counter measure on INTERDUBS pages is that the form contains a field that expects the entry of a simple number. Usually the number 12.

When the client enters his / her feedback an email will be sent to all root admins unless they have opted out of receiving emails.

INTERDUBS support also gets a copy of an email. We will only react if the problem is not content related of if we should see that nobody else would have gotten the error feedback.

The look and feel of the client error message screen can be configured via the configuration

HTML error body

Which contains a couple of keywords:

IDXHTML_ERRORLINE The line describing the error.

IDXHTML_ERRORNUM A unique INTERDUBS internal error number.

IDXHTML_FEEDBACKFORM The actual form that requests feedback from the client experiencing the problem.

You can remove all these fields if that works better for your companies policies
