Resolution translation

INTERDUBS uses the pixel dimensions that it finds in an uploaded movie file for the X and Y value that clips get displayed in a web browser.

You can override these settings manually via the edit file or edit title functions.

If you work frequently with squeezed pixels then you might find yourself changing X and Y values frequently.

If you configure resolution translations then you can let INTERDUBS do this for you automatically after the upload of a file.

A resolution translation has two parts: The resolution that will trigger the translation and the new resolution for matching files.

If you would enter

720x480 853x480 Sixteen by nine squeezed pixels

as a line in the configuration then each file that has a detected resolution of 720x480 will have its resolution set to 853x480.

The system will display a message that is the rest of the translation line. In this case it would be:

Sixteen by nine squeezed pixels

You can have as many lines with translation instructions as you like. The first line that has a match will be used.
