Applying a new Look

Once you are happy with a look for your client pages you can apply it to existing reels/logins and set things up so that everybody who should use them actually can and does.

Naming the new look

The first step is often to give the new look a names that makes sense in your situation.

You can do this via

 looks
 edit look

If you miss the edit look button then you probably want to use a shared look. In order to make changes to a shared look you need to make a copy first:

 copy look

After you made a copy you can rename it.

Assign the new look to existing reels / logins

On the looks screen you can see which looks are currently in use on the right side of the look listing.

The

 assign new look 

function allows you to apply a different look to all logins/reels using that specific look.

You would do this for the logins/reels that currently use an old look and should use the new look instead.

Simply click on assign new look and then select the new look from the next screen.

All existing links will continue to work the way they used to. Except that they now have the new design

Assign looks to users

If you are a root admin then you can update other admin users so that they automatically use the new look.

You do this via the

 manage admin users 

that you find in the end of the utilities screen.

Rep admins

Rep admins are indicated by a in the admin listing.

You can choose which look a rep admin needs to use via the

Default look used when in Rep mode

field on his/her edit admin screen.

A rep admin can also choose from looks that are enabled for them via the

 make look available for rep admins

function that you find on the

 looks

screen.

Last look used

INTERDUBS shows you to which look an admin used on the manage admin screen.

You can update this this to the new look via the

 edit admin user 

link or by directly clicking on the look display.

INTERDUBS stores two preferences: One for making new review and approval links and one for new reels.

Hide the old look

If you like to retire an old look then you can

 hide 

the look on the looks screen.

While you can also delete a look entirely, hiding it is often beneficial.

When you hide look it is no longer available as a choice, but all reels/logins that use it have still access to it.

Some people also rename the old look to make sure that everybody is aware that it is retired.
