The client facing pages can be designed to match the look and feel of the client.

Almost all design elements are editable.

Free vs. paid implementation

We like to include a certain amount of design free of charge for every new INTERDUBS customer.

We will work for as long as we can on your pages without charging for it. We get in touch should we approach the limit of what can be included for free. Of course you can decide beforehand if you like to proceed or not should there be costs associated.

We will usually be able to give you a firm quote when the desired design is clearly defined.

Delivering design elements

We can accept design in multiple formats. The more defined the delivery is the quicker, simpler and cheaper the implementation will be.

HTML

If the pages are set via standard HTML, CSS, Javascript then we usually can map this into the INTERDUBS system very quickly. Since the implementation will be verbatim this is the preferred method of delivering designs to us.

Photoshop

A Photoshop document with individual layers is helpful. The file should be in the intended resolution and in RGB color space. Please also see fonts.

Vector formats

Vector formats are helpful for guides and other info. We avoid receiving elements in these formats since the converting them into image can be done in multiple ways.

We like our clients to control this phase of the element creation.

EPS files

We can not use EPS files as elements. Please rasterize EPS files into RGB Image files (jpg / png) in the resolution that you like to use to in your web sites.

Illustrator

We can use Illustrator files for guides and grid spacings etc. It is better and quicker that you rasterize the content into an image file before you send it us. We can not use Illustrator files directly in your web designs.

Image files

If you provide logos and other elements then please provide them in the intended pixel resolution and in RGB color space. For images without transparency / alpha channel JPEGs work as well.

For content with transparency / alpha please use PNG files.

GIF files can used if a hard alpha is not a problem and there are other compelling reasons. There are few that we know of.

Elements should be separated from the background that they get displayed on if they are linkable targets etc.

Fonts

If you like to use specific fonts in your design then you have two choices

Web Fonts

If you like to render text on your pages in specific fonts then please provide us your fonts as Webfonts.

Google Webfonts are a good resource, if what they offer matches your needs.

Computer Fonts

If your design requires fonts to be installed on the computer then you need to render all text elements into graphic image files on your computer and deliver content to us in this format. The drawback of this method is that this is work. Work that would need to be repeated for every update. Search engines will not 'see' the content of your image files. Links can implemented via image maps. But it is work as well. The upside is that you control the look and feel of your content.

We will not install your fonts on our systems and replicate the design this way.

Rights

We will not obtain any rights for fonts to be used. All fonts that you like to use in your designs need to be purchased / cleared by you with their copyright holders. We will not assume any liability in this respects.

Text

If your design contains text elements then please provide these as plain text files/

Elements not accessible by INTERDUBS customers

An ever shrinking number of elements can only be controlled by INTERDUBS. Please get in touch if you like to have any of these changed. We are happy to help you with this.

favicon.ico

The favicon.ico file is unique for each client. While you can select alternative files, they have to be uploaded by INTERDUBS.

segment link and alias

A client called example would have INTERDUBS links like

http://www.interdubs.com/r/example

We are able to change the example part and can have an alias in place to make sure all existing links still work. Let's suppose that example would like to rebrand to new_example then we could change newly generated links to

http://www.interdubs.com/r/new_example

and would ensure that example still works.

other files

It can be helpful if INTERDUBS clients can use their own css, javascript etc files. We can enable an ftp account that allows management of these files. Please get in touch if this should be helpful for you.
