Usually INTERDUBS mail will send out links to client pages. Or user names and passwords. In both variations there is a web page that you client can visit. Depending on the configuration of the login your client can do different things on that page.

Sometimes somebody would just like to download content that has been uploaded to INTERDUBS. You can generate an email that contains links that will start a download directly. Your client simple needs to click on the link in the email and the file will start downloading.

It is very easy to create such an email:

1) navigate to the folder that contains the files you like to send

2) select the file(s) you like to send with the check box in front of it

3) click on the download link email icon to start the mail proccess.

Your clients will get the email and downloads will start automatically for them when they click on the link. Downloads will be logged as usual.

Please see Email_tracking#Download_notification for details.

Notes

In order to send out an email with download links you need to have a login attached to the folder. Folders without logins can not be published in INTERDUBS. That is actually a feature.

Links will appear in the order that you selected the files on. You can re arrange them in the email text.

It can improve overall network utilization when your client launches the download of several files in parallel.
