Search and Replace

If you like to change multiple titles of files in INTERDUBS then you can do this with the Search and Replace function found in the files menus.

One folder

You can search / replace all titles in a folder that you called the function in. Only files will be treated this way. Folders will be ignored.

Search for

The first line let's you enter the text that you like to replace in the titles.

Replace with

The second line contains the text that you would like to replace the text with. You can leave this empty as well

Case sensitive

The default is that INTERDUBS will match strings case insensitive. A checkbox controls this behaviour.

Preview

Since you can change / break quiet a bit of stuff with this function there will be always a preview of what you would be doing. Only if you saw what will happen to your titles can you can go ahead and actually do this change.

Regex

INTERDUBS uses Regular expressions to match and replace the content. Regular expressions are powerful, but also gory / scary to some. Please take extra care when you enter regular expressions. If you have questions then please get in touch.

Ask for help

If you have a daunting rename task at hand then maybe just send an email or an IM. It might only take seconds to do what you need done. Also: Search and Replace could be extended to use things like the resolution or run length if that is something people could use. Please get in touch. As usual INTERDUBS should have features you need. But not more.
