Internationalization
Trying to make INTERDUBS compliant with non US formats is something that we are trying to do. But support is not complete. Sorry.
Date format
Most Internationalization shortcomings revolve around the date format and display.
Clients first
Client facing pages have the date format you set and will respect the time zone entered.
Admin Interface
Internally INTERDUBS runs on the Pacific Time Zone (PDT). This is regardless of the data center you use. When INTERDUBS displays times in this internal format then it will append the the letters "PDT" in the end of the time display. This is the case in access log time display, as well as in the expiration, creation and modification times for files.
24 hours - always
INTERDUBS displays all times in the 24 hour format. We have not yet found any benefit in the AM / PM format common in the US.
Enhanced character sets
INTERDUBS clip names can have any character you like. So far we did not see an umlaut or any other 'special' non ASCII code break this. All pages should display correctly in different country varations.
Please let us know
We understand that we don't understand how this date format handling works for you. So please let us know if you see room for improvement. As anything else it can be changed. We can make this part of the system configurable as well for instance. But it would only make sense if that would be worth your time. Thanks.
